Hello and welcome. My name is David Martin, a
Senior Mechanical Engineer at Culham and Manager of the Apprenticeship
Scheme. Our Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme is run to satisfy a need
for well trained technicians, nurtured in a fusion
environment. The scheme is built on the foundations of the UKAEA
Harwell Scheme that ran from the 1940's until the 1990's. Many of
the people involved in the scheme (including myself) are the product of
the former scheme. I hope you find the following information useful,
however, should you require more information on any aspect of the scheme
